You know, Yeshua met a woman like this. Society caught her in the act of adultery, and dragged her to him full of accusations and judgment. (There had to be a man involved, too, but there is no mention of him.) They made her stand before the group, and to trap Yeshua they said, "The Law of Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?"
You remember the story. Yeshua didn't look at her disapprovingly. He didn't shake his head and cluck his tongue. He knelt down on the ground and drew something in the dirt. Then he said, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
Yeshua was the only one in that crowd who was qualified to judge that needy woman, but when everyone had dropped their stones and left, he turned to her and asked, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
"No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Yeshua declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
I agree that our society is not treating its children well. The needs are great. Our children may be bleeding and in agonizing pain. As the body of Christ, I think it is our task to reach out to each one with forgiveness and redemption.
Do you know an anorexic harlot? We need to rescue her with love and forgiveness.

I've always wondered what He drew.
Yes, I've always wondered what he wrote, too. Whatever it was, it must have been quite meaningful for the onlookers, don't you think?
Perhaps he wrote her sins away.
